Victory Over Stress Through Meditation

Meditation is a mental state which allows the person to isolate himself/herself from daily obligation and to concentrate on a point of from to eliminate stress.
Meditation is perhaps, the oldest procedure still in existence and undoubtedly it is one of the most efficient for acquiring mental peace and dispelling stress and tension.
Because of its simplicity and the possibility of carrying it out alone without the aid of others, it has been popular throughout the centuries.
Jesus Christ practiced meditation and in this way received the power which became the secret of his peace, his confidence and success in dealing with those around him.
Jesus Christ assures us all that those who practice his type of meditation will receive mental peace and renewed Spiritual energy.
Meditation is an ideal form of introspection which permits the human being to find peace with himself and the necessary balance between the material and the spiritual words.

TRUE USEFULNESS OF MEDITATION;
1. Those who practice meditation regularly and systematically have greater control over what passes through their conscious mind. As a result of this, they are the ones who choose what to let into their thoughts.
2. Relaxation; is a by- product of meditation. Meditation and stress is incompatible. As meditation prevail, muscular and emotional relaxation occur. Frequent meditation makes the person less aggressive, less anxious and freer from stress.
3. Meditation helps the person to became more balanced meditation expands the cerebral functions until a state of equilibrium between the left and right hemisphere is reached. While the left hemisphere supplies the logical function, mathematics, scientific study and rational thought. The right side governs the creature abilities, the imagination and the spiritual side of the person.
Meditation helps to compensate for the possible functional deficiency of the right hemisphere as a result favouring a more balanced use of all the mental ability.
4. Meditation helps the person reach beyond the material side of daily life to touch the spiritual dimension.
Physiological sensors applied to people in moments of meditation show that, during meditation, the respiratory and circulatory rates slow, the heart rate is reduced and the circulatory system becomes more balanced.
Brainwaves show balanced patterns. This suggests that there is a spiritual dimension which is favorable to a state of mental and physical health
HOW TO MEDITATE
Depending on our lifestyle, It can be easier or more difficult to practice meditation.
THE PLACE AND THE TIME
It is important to choose a proper place and time of meditation. The ideal is to meditate daily in the same place and at the same time.
There are people who prefer the morning hours but for others, the calm of the evening before bedtime is more appropriate.
Depending on our personal circumstances, meditation can take place in a room or outdoor. No matter where it is done, regularity and silence must be a part of meditation.
THE FORM
The posture during meditation should be comfortable, though not excessively so.
Traditional methods suggest sitting on the floor on a rug or a pillow with the legs crossed. Some feel "too mystical" in such a positions.
In these cases, it would be better to sit up in a chair. This is the time when the person must set aside all the worries of the day and must decide not to allow interruptions and distractions.
THE FOCUS OF MEDITATION
It is important that the person must choose a point of focus, one must choose the object or experience around which the meditation is going to occur. Some traditions suggest a "mantra" (a word or short phrase which is repeated over and over). Others prefer the "mandala" (drawing of a geometric figure upon which the eyes focus).
Still others prefer a blank wall upon which to concentrate. But I suggest a more profound and significant experience: which is choosing a brief passage from the Holy Bible as the point of focus for the meditation.
CONCENTRATION
The person must concentrate on the contents of the object of experience. That is reading the passage calmly several times, saying the word until one becomes familiar with the message.
Then the person must think about what is written and the circumstances which surround the writing. After this, we must try to identify personally with the passage.
GOOD ENDING
After some 20 minutes of this exercise, the person prepares to end the session in a slow, quiet way.
In many cases, a personal prayer can add the final touch to a positive mental state. After a meditation session, one feels calm and relaxed. Rather than reacting defensively, we are now able to look for peace and harmony within ourselves and with others.
This is because the person becomes mentally healthy after meditation. You cannot lose anything by trying daily meditation for a week. You may discover that you gain in your ability to combat stress and other harmful emotions.

Self-Discipline and it's benefits.

Hello,

I would like to share with you some thoughts and ideas to improve your existence. There are thousands and thousands of topics that I could talk about and I will, during the time, cover as many topics as possible. Feel free to comment below and let me know if there is a specific subject or topic you would like me to talk about.

To access a great report about the common mistakes people make about being happy just click on this link. www.happyandbalancedlife.com

Let's today talk about Discipline or Self-Discipline.

My believe of Discipline or Self-Discipline is not a physical punishment or anything to do with punishment. By discipline I mean the ability of controlling yourself, of being in control of your thoughts or of anything that happens within you.

By doing so you will reach true happiness and a better life under any aspect.

You may believe that you already are in control of yourself but let me give you a couple of examples of how this may not be true. Everybody has to improve, everybody, there may be people which are extremely fit and healthy but their social or economical life is poor, on the other hand there may be people with a magnificent social and economical life but the word fitness doesn't appear within their dictionary.

Being in control means doing the things that you know are beneficial to you but you don't want to do.

Discipline is not just that, discipline is also being able to say "NO" when its needed, for example if you are trying to achieve something, maybe you're on a diet or maybe you're trying to get into exercising but very often you simply come up with excuses like "Ah! I will do it tomorrow" or "I am too tired for it" or any other excuse you use to avoid doing something that you know, quite well, you should do for your own good but, at a particular moment, you simply don't want to do or don't feel like doing.

We all do this. All of us sometime during the day, or week, find excuses not to do something, or not to go somewhere, but deep down we know exactly that we should really do it. Am I right?

Well I want to help people stop procrastinating, stop finding excuses and simply do more of those things that they put aside and I want people to have a better life. The best approach to this of course is through discipline. Discipline is the most beneficial quality somebody can have and I will talk more about how discipline can be beneficial to anybody.

When it comes to money discipline is a fundamental part to save up money and to simply reach a better financial situation.

How much money do you waste on products or food that you don't necessarily need? How often do you go to the shops to buy a certain product and you come out with much more than what you needed at first? Sometimes you may even forget to buy what you came to get in the first place.

See a way to improve your economical situation is by spending less. Majority of people believe that they need a higher income, a better pay and so on, but they will end up spending all that extra earned cash in no time, they probably start spending more and more because they will feel like they now can spend more as they're earning more money.

Think about this for a second. I am sure that maybe around christmas you may receive more money, christmas bonus or extra hours worked, usually during christmas people earn more money.

I want you to focus on how you feel when you get a higher pay, do you feel like now you can spend more? Think about it for a second.

I am sure you feel like now you can buy some extra junk, I called it junk because it's something not necessary but something that you simply buy because you have convinced yourself that it's necessary. How many times does it happen during the week? You see something, it looks good, you come up with a silly reason why buy it and you go ahead and buy it, sometimes you just buy it without even thinking about it.

Do you believe that if your income goes up you will end up having more money in your bank account? I mean money left over at the end of the week or month? I am sure that's what the rich person thought before he or she became rich. The key here is to reduce the spending, not to earn more money, when you realise this you will be surprised how much money you will end up having extra at the end of the week or month.

Look at the wealthy people around you, they usually have houses many and many times more expensive than your and cars worth more than your house, they may earn a lot but at the same time they spend a lot.

So my point is that even the wealthy person to some extent struggles with money but at a different level than majority of people, the truly rich person is the wealthy person which is content with little, that doesn't spend as much as he earns. See buying and buying always better and bigger things is worthless, it's all vanity. It's to appear superior to others probably because you don't feel good enough about yourself. I could write for kilometres but for today I will stick to self-discipline.

Let's get back to our topic.

What do you think is the most important thing to start spending less? Of course discipline. You need to learn to say "NO", to think and think again and again about what you're about to buy, is it really necessary to me? Should I buy this? Why am I buying it? Is it to impress others? You need to be honest to yourself.

I personally went through this. I remember getting this nice credit card and not long after that the card was maxed out. I still remember my thoughts. I used to believe that I would easily pay the credit card off and so I kept spending and spending until I reached the limit. After that I did pay some of it off but of course what do you think I did then? I spent it all again.

I remember buying and buying rubbish that I have never heard of and after a brief research I had convinced myself that I should definitely buy it. Do you think my life as changed after buying that junk? Or somehow improved? I used many of those products once and now they're siting somewhere untouched for many years, probably covered in dust.

Let's look at the reason why I was buying. What do you think is it? Was it because I really needed those products? Or was I more driven by the feeling within me? Feelings that would never get satisfied because you simply will desire more and more, like an addict. What do you think now is the magic word to solve this? Or to avoid repeating this mistakes again and again? Of course SELF-DISCIPLINE.

Trust me I have learned now and it took me more than 2 years to pay off my credit card. It was a great lesson, I won't forget it, that's the good side and probably the only good side of my spending money addiction.

Let me give you some advice and try not to get a credit card. Avoid it. I am sure you may desire one very badly or already have one then be very careful with it. I will give you now some advice.

If you would like to improve your economical situation than I suggest you to sit down, write down all the expenses, bills or any other expense extremely necessary to you, see how much money you need to cover those expenses and then put the remaining aside, into another account not easily accessible to you, in that way you won't have money to spend on junk. Or maybe try to leave your bank cards at home and carry some cash with you, you can't carry hundreds of dollars with you!

This advice is for people which are extremely bad with money, it isn't the best advice, guess why? Because you will try to find a way to access or to use the money from the other account, you will come up with stupid excuses to access that money.

If instead you keep all the money in your normal account and train yourself not to spend money on junk then you will become more discipline with money.

It's like putting an alcoholic in a room without any alcohol, he is forced to stop, but as soon as he gets out from that environment he will quite soon end up drinking again. If instead you teach and make truly understand the alcoholic not to drink anymore, even if he's surrounded by alcohol, you will see that the alcoholic won't drink anymore.

In both cases the second scenario is far better than the first one but at the same time much harder to make happen. So probably the best solution would be to use both scenarios together, put aside the extra money you have in your account and leave yourself with little cash and try not to spend that little cash that you have left yourself with.

Simply start with something and keep going, do it once won't change anything. Simply set a little goal to respect each day and follow it, it doesn't have to be big because it is something that you won't be able to accomplish, trust me on this. It's better to achieve a little change, a little goal, than to dream big and not achieve anything.

It will also help you mentally as you know that you're achieving your little goal and so you're more keen to keep going and achieve your next goal, while if you can't achieve your goal, because it's too unrealistic you will put yourself down and won't try to improve yourself as you can't achieve the unrealistic goal.

Be content with the little improvement that you make each day and you will soon see how much you have improved.

See I have learned personally and read many books and concluded that Self-Discipline is the best quality somebody can develop. It will be beneficial to every aspect of your life. I simply focused about money but if you become more disciplined with money don't you think that it will spread to other aspects of your life? Of course it will.

Wouldn't you like to become healthier, fitter, happier and simply have a better life than the current one? Than become more discipline each day.

I will be posting and sharing more of my believes and informations with you, I will also give you some advice and help on how to become more disciplined, but not just that, I don't want you to turn into a perfectionist frick I want you become very disciplined but at the same time be the humblest person on this planet.

I am here writing this hoping to help others out there to avoid the mistakes that I have made, and also to share my knowledge with others.
